Welcome to Hostel Ukonlinna!

Hostel Ukonlinna is a nice and friendly hostel located at Imatra, in South Karelia. In the area there are a lot of leisure and sports activities to choose from in all seasons.

The hostel is open all year round and it is run by a local sports club, Tainionkosken Tähti (“Tainionkoski Star”). It is located right next to the beautiful Lake Saimaa, which makes the environment peaceful and relaxing. There are good options of public transportation to the hostel. The nearest bus stop is only 500 meters away and the distance to the centre of the city of Imatra is approximately 7 kilometers.

There are great opportunities for free time activities too; swimming during the summertime (or why not during the winter time also) or cross country skiing during the winter time. You can also go trekking or fishing. There are lots of different routes for hikers in forests nearby and for the disc golf lovers there is also a very challenging disc golf route just next to our hostel. Saimaa Geopark at Lammassaari island is right next to us. We offer premises for fests and weddings or other important occasions. Children are also welcome to our hostel and we have a safe playground just next to us.
